Marjorie A. ’Margie’ Leach

Margie A. Leach, age 79, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.Marjorie Anne Engelke was born on February 29, 1932 in Gary, MN to Joe and Mary Wilkens Engelke. She grew up and attended school in Norman County. On October 3, 1952 she married Verle Leach in Hawley, MN. Margie worked numerous jobs in retail sales in the Fargo-Moorhead area. She enjoyed reading and puzzles, playing cards and bingo, shopping at garage sales and thrift stores as well as camping and fishing. She is survived by her husband, Verle Leach of Moorhead, MN, two daughters, Sandra Robert Gard of Pelican Rapids, MN and Lori Kyle Champ of Omaha, NE; one son, Doug Diane Pierro of St. Paul, MN; one sister, Alma Clarence Bigler of International Falls, MN; five grandchildren, Kirsten Champ, Dawn James Collins, Shelly Bob Felix, Jeremiah Gard and Kristina Pierro and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Debra; brother, Lester and three sisters, Clara, Elsie and Verna and grandson, Robert V. Gard.
