Marjorie C. Nelson

Marjorie Nelson, born July 22, 1920 to Carl and Vera (née Thompson) Longager, died of a stroke Tuesday, August 11, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother, Thalmer, her husband, Morris, and daughter, Audrey.

Marjorie was born in Veblen, SD, were she completed high school and then moved to Moorhead for employment as a grocery store clerk.  She met Morris when he and his mother shopped for groceries.  That led to happy marriage and the birth of a daughter, Audrey, the focal point and highlight of their marriage.  Though very conservative (frugal) their goal was to give Audrey the best education possible. Morris and Marjorie farmed in Oak Park township for many years until retirement and remained on the farm place until moving to Moorhead years later.  Marjorie and Morris lived many years in Eventide Fairmont until they died.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
