Marjorie J. Froemke

Marjorie J. Froemke, 96, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021. Marjorie Jean Nelson was born in Moorhead on August 24, 1925, to Leslie and Sylvia (Smith) Nelson. Marjorie graduated from Moorhead High School. On October 9, 1949, she married Virgil Froemke. Together they lived in several states before settling in Moorhead in 1979. Marjorie enjoyed crocheting, spending time with family, watching her grandchildren grow and loved attending their many activities. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother. She will be dearly missed.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Mark (LaVonne) Froemke, Mary Jean (Paula Hull) Froemke, and Michael (Aimee Volk) Froemke; grandchildren, August (Maria), Elspeth, Moira, Katie, Ryan, and Anna; great-grandchild, Hayden; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; grandsons, Dameon and Jonathon; parents, Leslie and Sylivia; brother, Leslie “Bud” Nelson; sisters, Thelma Empting, Bernice Dahl, Lois Swanson and Georgiann Stenerson; and daughter-in-law, Cathleen Froemke.

Memorials are preferred to The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd and El Zagal Shrine Fargo (Hospital Auxiliary).

Visitation will be Thursday, September 16, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral will be Friday, September 17, at 10:00 a.m., in The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Moorhead, MN. Family invites friends to join them at Brewtus’ Clubhouse (Osgood Golf Course) 4400 Clubhouse Drive S., Fargo, ND 58104 for a time of fellowship following the service.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
