Marjorie Lillian Bussey was born on April 2, 1922 in Augusta, Georgia, the daughter of Lillian and Emerson Bussey. She was the youngest of five children, the others all brothers. She was united in marriage with Magnus Oliver Foss, Jr. on April 1, 1945 and moved to Minnesota with her southern accent intact. Together they raised five children and many enduring friendships enjoying life in Fargo-Moorhead, Sun Lakes, Arizona and Pelican Lake, Minnesota.Marjorie put others first and foremost in her life. She was a thoughtful, generous, compassionate purveyor of support, strength and endurance; firm in her opinion, yet filled with fun and humor. She inspired her family to the fullest yet humbly worked quietly in the background. She gracefully walked this earth with beauty, poise and elegance. Her last words were "don't worry about me".Marjorie was a healthy competitor of the highest honor on the field of play. She continued competing as an observer, watching golf and tennis whenever she could. With exquisite culinary skill, she served her duck moist while her pheasant drenched-in mushroom sauce melted in your mouth. Her blueberry pies tasted best when they looked the worst. And whoever heard of southern toast? It is an honor to have held on to her as long as we did.Heaven has truly gained an angel… "sho nuf, ya'all!"Our sweet Georgia Peach gained her wings on August 2, 2008 rising to reunite with her loving husband Mac Jr.; dancing daughter Kathy Foss Bakkum; her parents; brothers Emerson, Jennings, Robert, and Shaw Bussey; parents -in- law Ethel and Mac Foss, Sr.; and in-laws Mark and Peggy Foss, Bill and Jean Foss; Helena Foss, Mary Ekren, and JoAnn Foss.As she looks down from above, Marjorie's presence will be felt by her children Mary Susan Furr Stan, John Emerson Foss Keiko, Janet Lee Bayliss Bernel, and Steven Magnus Foss Carol; grandchildren Kyla Johnk Jorge Hernandez, Evan and Lilli Furr, Rygo and Roshan Foss, Ruby Bayliss, Jonathan, Justin , Emma and Anna Foss; great grand-daughter Isabel Hernandez Johnk; brotherââ¬âin-law Ron Ekren and John Foss; and many wonderful cousins and friends of the family.
