Marjorie “Marge” M. Krabbenhoft, 83, Minot, formerly of Moorhead and Big Cormorant Lake, MN died Friday, March 3, 2017, surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home in Minot.

Marjorie was born April 19, 1933 in Moorhead, the daughter of Henry and Florence Johnson Peterson. She was raised and educated in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1951.

Marge was united in marriage to Lawrence “Larry” Krabbenhoft on May 24, 1958 in Moorhead. They moved to Minot in 1961, where he worked for the Chevrolet Motor Division and later became General Sales Manager for the Chevrolet dealership in Minot. Along with raising their three children, Marge was employed at Minot State University in the financial aid department and later as personal secretary for Presidents Dr. Gordon B. Olson and Dr. H. While living at the lake, they also enjoyed reconnecting with many friends from their younger years. Larry died on February 2, 2001. Marge sold her lake home and moved to Moorhead in 2009 where she continued to live until returning to Minot in March of 2016.

Marge was an active member of Cormorant Lutheran Church while living at the lake. While in Moorhead, she was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church. Most recently, she joined Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot. She was active throughout the years in Coterie, Zonta, and Circle groups.

Marge’s hobbies and interests included playing and hosting games of bridge with many of her closest friends, traveling to her children’s homes, and attending many of her grandchildren’s special events. She loved to travel; Larry’s career provided the opportunity to travel to many countries around the world. Most importantly, Marge was proud of her children and grandchildren and loved following their successes and adventures. She often referred to her seven grandchildren as “The Magnificent Seven.” She loved the young energy her great-granddaughter brought to the family. She was a classy lady with a sense of style and a keen eye for design.
