Mark O. Walstrom

Mark O. Walstrom, 59, of Hawley, MN, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 in his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Mark Olaf Walstrom was born to Archie and Venda (Radeck) Walstrom on March 19, 1960 in Detroit Lakes, MN, and grew up in Hitterdal, MN.  On August 11, 1979 he married DeNett Flaten in Ulen, MN.  He spent his career as a Service Manager for various truck and trailer repair shops.

Mark enjoyed hunting and fishing, camping, reading, spending time at the lake and snowmobiling with Uncle Bill.  He loved riding his motorcycle and if Bob Seger was on during his ride it was that much better.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and would drop anything to help them out with a project.

Mark is survived by his wife, DeNett; children, Lucas Walstrom, Hitterdal, MN, Travis (Stephanie) Walstrom, Ulen, MN, and Andrew (Tasha) Nelson, Milnor, ND; grandchildren, Madelyn, Lily, Tucker and Westyn Walstrom and Chloe and Wyatt Nelson; siblings, Dennis (Patricia) Walstrom, Lois Stabnow, David (Marilyn) Walstrom, Jeffrey (Tamie) Walstrom and Ruth (Bruce) Halverson and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019 from 6:00-7:00 PM with a celebration of life beginning at 7:00 at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.
