Marlyn M. ’Marly’ Miller

January 1, 1933 — May 16, 2010

Marlyn Merle Miller was born on January 1, 1933, to Lloyd and Winnie Otteson Miller in Buffalo, ND.Marly attended Wahpeton State School of Science where he excelled as a boxer. He then joined the United States Army and was a paratrooper. He later worked construction, owned and operated a service station and later drove for Transport Inc. until his retirement.He married Frances Oxton Berg on April 7, 1967. They made their home in Moorhead, where they enjoyed attending their children's sporting events.Marlyn is survived by his wife; Fran Miller; children, Kathy Terry Busche Berg, Karen Bushland, Keith Katya Berg, Kristin James Engstrom and Kevin Carol Miller. He also leaves three grandsons, Ryan and Shane Bushland and Christopher Buttke, and six granddaughters, Kaitlyn Buttke, Hayley, Lauren and Jill Engstrom, Alexis Miller and Tonya Berg, all of whom he doted on.Marly enjoyed his retirement at Lake Maud, mowing at Wildflower Golf Course and spending winters in Mesa, AZ in the woodshop and pool.He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Douglas and sister, LaVonne Gale.
