Marlys L. Nelson

Marlys was born February 10, 1933 on the home farm at Cormorant, MN, to Louie and Ovedia Olson. She attended school at Oak Grove Lutheran School and Lake Park School. She married Arvid Nelson on September 10, 1952, settled down, farmed and started a family. She was employed over the years by Carl's Lefse and Sunnyside Nursing Home. She was very active at Eksjo Lutheran Church. Marlys was always happiest with dirt under her fingernails and growing her beautiful flowers. She also loved spending time with her family.She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvid, son, Mark and her parents.She is survived by one son, Mike Mary, Park Rapids; daughter- in- law, Debbie, Lake Park; brothers, Arlo June Olson, Puyallup, WA, Lyden Pat Olson, Okebena, MN, and Orvis Marlene Olson, Lake Park; sisters, LaVay Ed Stover, Goose Creek, SC and Sandy Faus, Ft. Collins, CO; 10 grandchildren and 3 great granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
