Martha A. Cardenas

Martha Alicia Cardenas, 57, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Martha was born October 29, 1966, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, MX, to Francisco and Timotea (Lopez) De La Cruz. On May 26, 1984, Martha married Armando Cardenas. Together they made their home in San Antonio and Houston, TX, before moving to Moorhead in 1992. Martha loved spending time with her loved ones. She will be dearly missed.

Martha is survived by her husband, Armando; children, Armando Cardenas, Jr., Luis Cardenas, Claudia (Salvador) Vargas, Edna (Adrian) Maldonado, Jennifer (Runi) Toma; 19 grandchildren; her father, Francisco De La Cruz; siblings, Dora Gamez, Ana De La Cruz, Yolanda Campos, Francisco De La Cruz Jr., Maria De La Cruz; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Timotea De La Cruz.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 29, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial with Livestream will be Friday, March 1, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.
