Martin J. Pelkey

Martin Joseph Pelkey, 101 years young, of Moorhead MN, passed away on March 20th, 2023, at Sanford Hospital, Fargo ND. 

He served in the United States Navy as a carpenter's mate second class from 1942 to 1946. Martin enjoyed his daily walks and coffee. When Chad and Corey were younger, Martin and Pearl would take them to Lake Sally to go fishing. He was always willing to take and pick them up from school and work. And he always looked forward to going to breakfast and the grocery store on the weekends with them. He would never miss Jason's baseball and Leah's softball games. When he wasn't enjoying the outdoors, he would be watching any and every Minnesota sports team on T.V.

Martin was preceded in death by his wife Pearl (June 19, 1987). Martin is survived by his son, Jerry (Connie) England; grandchildren, Chad (Shellie) England, Corey England; great grandchildren, Leah England and Jason (KyLee) England.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 28th, 2023, at 2pm with a visitation one hour before the service at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Interment will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Moorhead.
