Mary Hanson

Mary Hanson, 83, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013, in Essentia Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Mary was born August 8, 1929, in Steele, ND, to Steve and Dora Russef Makedonsky. She grew up and attended school in Steele, graduating from high school in 1947. In 1948, Mary married Forrest Hanson in Bismarck, ND. Together they made their home in Fargo and started a family. After a few years, they moved to Glyndon, MN. Mary was able to stay at home and raise their children. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother. Mary moved to Dilworth in 2006, where she had most recently resided. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and baking, but most of all spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s activities.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Loraine Joe Langemo of Litchfield, MN, Nancy Kevin Nelson of Glyndon, MN; grandchildren, Tim Langemo, Tory Kristi Langemo, Trent Jennifer Langemo, Erica Steve Muse, Tyler Talia Nelson, Kristi Ryan Fabre; great-grandchildren, Kaia, Cael, Camille, Cole, Avery and Dylan; sisters, Margaret Hogan, Virginia Darrell Peterson, Donna Harvey Flesberg, Rosella Duane Kropf, Stephana Ruppert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest; son, Steve; and brothers-in-law, Edward Hogan and Doug Ruppert.

Visitation: Monday, June 10, 2013, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Funeral: Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., in Glyndon Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
