Mary Hennessy

Mary Hennessy, 81, Fargo, died Friday, April 17, 2015, in Emmanuel Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, MN.
Mary Elizabeth Stiening was born on July 3, 1933, in Moorhead, MN, to Henry and Pearl Borsheim Stiening. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1951 and then attended nursing school.
Mary married Myron Frojen on July 17, 1953, and they made their home in Moorhead, where they raised their family. In earlier years, Mary was an active member of PEO, Fargo-Moorhead Junior League, bridge clubs, and served in many ways at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was on the Library Board, was active in the Republican Party, and past president of the St. Ansgar Auxillary.
Mary married Frank Hennessy in 1980 and they lived in Fargo. In her later years she worked as a home health caregiver.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Johnson, Detroit Lakes, and Pam Jeff Opdahl, Norwood Young America, MN; seven grandchildren, Jennifer David Kath, Blake Kelly Johnson, Scott Sara Johnson, Katie Nolan Braun, Lyle Opdahl, Kristine Masseth and Shelley Masseth; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Hennessy; daughter Kathryn, parents, and brother John Stiening.
Memorial Service: Thursday, April 23, 2015, 3:30 pm, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Friends may gather for one hour before the service in the church.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
