Mary I. Mikkelsen

Mary I. Mikkelsen, 56, of Hawley, Minnesota, died December 2, 2004, at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.Mary Irene Buck was born June 12, 1948, at Hitterdal, Minnesota, to Lorenzo and Esther Nasset Buck. She grew up in Hitterdal and graduated in 1966 from Hitterdal High School. Mary was married to Michael Mikkelsen on June 24, 1967 at Hitterdal, MN. Mary worked the last few years for the Lake Park-Audubon Elementary School. Mary enjoyed spending time sewing, baking, crafting and reading. But, her most precious times were spent with her greatest joy, her family. Mary's door was always open and the coffee was always on. Many good times were shared around Mary's kitchen table. Family and friends were Mary's life. Mary was a member of Eksjo Lutheran Church, and found great gratification in being a leader of the Eksjo Lutheran Church Youth Group. She is survived by her husband, Michael Mikkelsen, Hawley, MN; two sons, Jason Mindi Mikkelsen, Lake Park, MN, and Andrew Sarah Mikkelsen, Hawley, MN; two daughters, Emily Aaron Lauinger, Fargo, ND, and Melanie Bruce Hanson, Lake Park, MN; two brothers, Vincent Rosalie Buck, Warroad, MN, and James Buck, Hitterdal, MN; five grandchildren, Kylie and Casey Hanson, and Walker, Gavan and Jaycie Mikkelsen; and many nieces and nephews.
