Mary K. Workman

Mary K. Workman, age 92, of Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, October 6, 2012, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.Mary K. Workman was born on June 7, 1920 in Illinois. On December 29, 1939 she married Byron G. Workman in Moweaqua, Illinois. They lived in Loami, Illinois until moving to Minnesota in 1951 where they lived on a farm north of Moorhead where they worked their farm for many years until Byron's death in February, 1963. At that time, Mary moved to Moorhead and remained there until her passing. Mary worked at Sears for many years during her lifetime where she made numerous friends. Mary was a member of Valley Christian Church in Moorhead. She enjoyed bowling at Sunset Lanes for her enjoyment and entertainment. She also enjoyed baking cookies, pies and brownies as well as playing cards and going to Hankinson. Mary spent the last four years of her life in dialysis making many friends at the Dialysis Center. The family of Mary Workman would like to pay tribute to the Dialysis Center in south Fargo for all their care and consideration toward their mother and grandmother.She is survived by her son, Eugene Louise Workman of Fargo, ND; daughter, Glenda Hogenson of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Michael Trasey Workman, Jamie Meredith Workman, Jeff Jen Hogenson and Troy Hogenson; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Dayna Kathleen, Brooke and Dylan Workman and Trevor and Mackenzie Hogenson as well as several nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Byron.
