Mary L. Brandser

Mary was born December 18, 1918 in Havre, Montana to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McCarthy. She attended High School at Mount St. Benedicts Academy in Crookston, Minnesota. She was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota until she married Russell J. Brandser of Hawley, Minnesota, October 7, 1947. Russell died in 1966. In 2003, Mary moved to Portland to live with her daughter and family. She was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, letter writing and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell, son James, and son-in-law, Larry Wang. She is survived by two daughters, Mary K. Wang, Portland, OR, and Louise Mike Richter, Noxon, MT; one sister, Rosemary Bliss, St. Cloud, MN; and one brother, James McCarthy, Detroit Lakes, MN; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
