Mary Richardson

Mary Elizabeth (Kelley) Richardson, 86, of Hawley, MN, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2017 in Sanford Health Hospital in Fargo, ND. The daughter of Howard and Ida Kelley, was born January 26, 1931, in Salisbury, MD. She was educated and worked in Salisbury, MD. She married Dwight “Richie” Richardson on March 28, 1953. He served in the navy for twenty years on an aircraft carrier. Mary worked at the naval hospital in Jacksonville, FL, for seven years. After Richie’s retirement from the Navy in 1964, they moved to Fargo, ND. After moving to Fargo, she worked at St. Luke’s Hospital for seventeen years. Upon retiring in 1980, they moved to White Earth, MN, to continue working on the home once owned by his grandparents. After Richie’s death in 2000, Mary continued to live in White Earth until moving to Hawley, MN, in 2011.

She is survived by three sons, Peter (Cheri) Richardson of Hawley, Paul (Becky) Richardson of White Earth, and Allan (Jeannie) Richardson of Bismarck, ND; daughter, Margaret Robinson of Tulsa, OK; ten grandchildren, Kari (Chris) Harrum, Mary DeLeon, Kelly Carlson, Jessica (Cody) Godel, Abby Richardson, Lance (Sarah) Richardson, Jonah Richardson, Ashley (Mitch Stoeke) Richardson, Dwight Richardson, and Toby Richardson; honorary grandchildren, Kaitlyn Sprunk, Christopher Buttke, and Alexis Miller; fifteen great grandchildren, Emilee, Kailyn, Eleacia, DeAngelo, Jaxon, Charlotte, Callen, Kason, Grace, Liam, Everly, Ava, Carter, Lilli, and Bentley.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dwight; her parents; sister, Frances Fields; and two brothers, Howard Kelley and Harold Kelley.

Funeral services will be held at the Wright Funeral Home Chapel in Hawley on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in White Earth, MN.
