Matthias J. ’Matt’ Enderle

Matthias Joseph "Matt" Enderle joined his heavenly Father on October 24, 2008 with his family by his side under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.Matthias Joseph Enderle was born to Matt D. and Anna Schuster Enderle on August 11, 1933, at St. Luke's Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. He grew up on a farm north of Nashua, MN. Matt attended District #61 through 8th grade, then graduated from Morris Agricultural School in 1951.He was married to Cleo Meyer on September 26, 1956. They farmed by Nashua from 1956 – 1964, moved to Campbell where he worked for FieldCrest Fertilizer Plant, then worked as an Offset Printer at the Globe Gazette in Wahpeton, ND. The family moved to Pelican Rapids in 1971, where Matt worked for the ORD Corporation. He also worked at the Good Samaritan Center, then put in 17 years at West Central Turkeys. Together, Matt and Cleo were managers of the Pelican Mobile Home Park for 27 years. He retired in 1999.After retiring, Matt and Cleo moved to Fergus Falls. On August 30, 2008, they moved to Moorhead. Matt enjoyed being with family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed the lakes area, skiing, swimming, and fishing. He also enjoyed working in his big gardens, playing cards with friends and family and visiting with people.He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rita Cornillie; brothers, Edwin and Ralph; and nephew, Charles Cornillie.He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cleo, who resides at Park View Terrace Apartments of Moorhead, MN; his daughter, Becky Rick Fjestad and their daughter, Rochelle Jon Fjestad Byklum of Fargo, ND; three sons, Tom Joan Enderle of Jamestown, ND, and their sons, Nathan and Nicholas, Kevin Jo Enderle of Bakersfield, CA, and their daughter Evie, and youngest son, Matthew Enderle of Pelican Rapids, MN; one great-granddaughter, Matia Fjestad Byklum; and many nieces and nephews.
