Maxine L. Rogers

Maxine L. Rogers, 81, Moorhead, MN, died on Wednesday, December 15, 2004, in Meritcare Hospital, Fargo, ND.Maxine L. Weum was born on May 21, 1923, in Georgetown, MN, to Randolph and Catherine Wambach Weum. She grew up and attended school there. She was the assistant postmaster in Georgetown from 1941 until 1944. Maxine married Harry Rogers on August 30, 1944 and they made their home in Moorhead. She worked at Woolworth's Dime Stores in Moorhead and Fargo. Harry died on February 21, 1988. Maxine had a magnetic personality and her ever present smile lifted the hearts of all she came in contact with.Maxine is survived by a brother, Lloyd Clarice Weum, Battle Lake, MN; a sister, Irene Anderson, Fargo, ND; special friend, Al Sholander, Moorhead, MN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Randolph "Bud" Weum.
