Michael C. Sahlberg

Michael C. Sahlberg, 67, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the VA Healthcare System, Fargo, ND.

 

Michael Craig Sahlberg was born to George and Clara (Skjerva) Sahlberg in Detroit Lakes, MN, on February 28, 1950.  He grew up on a dairy farm near Hitterdal, MN, and attended school there.  He went to Moorhead Technical College before entering the United States Marines where he served in Vietnam.  Following his service he was employed as a mechanic in several places including having his own shop in Hitterdal. Michael also spent time as a custom combiner across the central US and up into Canada.

 

He is survived by his son, Steven and sister, Evaughn (Bill) Anderson.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul, and sister, Judy.

 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM with a visitation beginning at 1:00 PM in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

 

Burial will take place at Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Hitterdal, MN.
