Michael Brian Kukert

Michael Brian Kukert, 54, of Oklee, MN, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Michael was born on June 12, 1970, to Lawrence and Sharon (Knoblock) Kukert, in Fargo, ND. He grew up in Fargo where he attended and graduated from Fargo South High School. Living in Fargo, ND, and Dilworth, MN, for most of his life, his life’s work consisted of his sub-contracting business. He specialized in home improvement which consisted of general construction, siding, windows, but never wanted to be involved in anything electrical. Due to disability, he retired and moved to Oklee, MN, where he spent most of his time either fishing or raising his youngest son, Gage.

Michael loved to fish, doing yard work, and taking part in the outdoors. He especially enjoyed hosting fires in his backyard for get togethers with his family and friends. Unfortunately, he was a horrible cook, and even more unfortunately, he liked his pastas crunchy.

Michael is survived by his children, Kesley Crawford, Zachary (Tabetha) Crawford, Sarah Kukert, Wyatt Kukert, and Gage Kukert; 8 grandchildren; mother, Sharon Kukert; brothers, Loran (Cari Ann) Kukert and Wesley Kukert; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his children, Brittany Wendt and Elissa Kukert; and father, Lawrence.
