Michael W. Czichotzki

Michael was born November 12, 1971 in Fargo, ND to Mark and LaVerne Wee Czichotzki. He grew up and attended school in Moorhead, graduating in 1993. Since the age of 13, Michael received residential services from Access of the Red River Valley. His vocational services were from Connections and currently from Heartland Industries. He worked in the community at the Y on Broadway, Classic Roadsters and Meals on Wheels. Michael loved his work, music, Mike's potatoes, his favorite chair, the Rubik's Cube, drawing, and especially spending time with family at the lake. He truly enjoyed taking rides on the pontoon and the speedboat.Michael is survived by parents, Mark and LaVerne; his brother and best friend, Tim Ria Czichotzki. He loved being around his nieces and nephews, Katelyn, Carter, Cooper and Kennedy; his Grandmother, Deloris Wee; friend and caregiver, Shell Grieger; his dear aunts and uncles, Darline Fred Sundblad, Marilyn Don Forness, Wayne Del Czichotzki, Judy Roy Toivonen, Cheryl Jerry Melby, Bob Wee, Don LuAnn Wee, Doug Wee; and many cousins and friends.He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ormand and Martha Czichotzki, Earling Wee; aunt, Elizabeth Olson Wee; and great grandma McDougall.Michael faced many challenges throughout his life and met them with the help and support of Dakota Clinic doctors and nurses, Moorhead Special Education teachers and paraprofessionals, Access of the Red River Valley, Connections and Heartland Industries professionals and staff, Clay County Social Services professionals, Minnesota Disability Law Center and ARC Clay County/ Minnesota advocates and staff. He touched many lives and hearts and will be dearly missed.In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Access of the Red River Valley in memory of Michael Czichotzki.
