Morris LeRoy Krogh, 91, of Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Eventide in Moorhead.
Morris was born June 29, 1930, in Hawley, MN, to Henry and Minnie (Berg) Krogh. He grew up in Hawley and graduated from Hawley High School in 1949. In 1951 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He proudly served 4 years in the Navy before starting his 26- year career with the N.D. Air National Guard. Morris served as a master sergeant on the base at Fargo’s Hector Airport during the Korean War. He retired on June 29, 1990.
Morris was united in marriage to Amy Pederson on September 1, 1956, at Hegland Lutheran Church in rural Hawley, MN. In their younger years, Morris and Amy enjoyed dancing. They were faithful members of Pontoppidan Lutheran Church in Fargo, watching online services when they were unable to attend in person.
Morris is survived by his beloved wife, Amy; sisters, Helen Maesse, of Moorhead, and Pearl (Marvin) Spillum, of Hawley, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Grace Helm and Lorraine Stumbo.
A funeral service will be Monday, June 27, 2022, at 11:00 A.M., with visitation for one hour before the service, at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead. Interment will be at Fargo National Cemetery.
