Myron Anderson

Myron Anderson, 82, Brainerd, MN, died on Friday, April 17, 2015, in the Bethany Good Samaritan Home.
Myron was born on March 18, 1933 near Comstock, MN, to Christian and Celia Blouin Anderson. He attended grade school at Rustad and graduated from Comstock High School in 1950. He then attended Dakota Business College and went to work for Dwyer Beverage Company.
Myron married Joanne Idso Askegaard on April 7, 1961 and they moved to Golden Valley, MN, where he worked for IBM as a computer programmer and also Admiral Merchant’s Trucking and Honeywell. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota.
They moved to Brainerd, MN, in March of 2010 to be near their son Art. Joanne died on February 21, 2012.
Myron loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed playing softball, playing on Monty’s team at Comstock. He loved the Minnesota Twins.
He is survived by his son, Art Nancy Anderson, Brainerd, MN; brother Clifford Anderson, Moorhead, MN; sisters Joan Bye, Dallas, TX and Geri Hanson, Moorhead, MN; granddaughters Carrie Russell Hoen, Waconia, MN, Nicolette and Kristina Anderson, Brainerd.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joanne; brother Donald and sister Jean Brakke.
Visitation: Tuesday, April 21, 2015, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Funeral: Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at 10:30 A.M. in Comstock Lutheran Church, Comstock, MN.
Interment: Comstock Lutheran Church Cemetery, Comstock, MN.
