Nathaniel D. Fairbanks-GreyEagle

Nathaniel Dean Fairbanks-GreyEagle, 33, of Moorhead, MN, passed away unexpectedly in his home on February 25, 2025. 

Nathaniel was born June 26, 1991, in Minneapolis, MN, to Samuel GreyEagle and Sheryl Fairbanks. His early years were spent in Pine Point, MN, where he grew up and attended school, until the family moved to Fargo when he was about 15 years old. 

For 10 years, Nathaniel worked during the seasonal sugar beet harvest, often putting in 12-hour days, coming home tired but always happy. He had a natural talent for working on cars and bikes and he enjoyed fixing them for other people. He loved listening to music and playing games on his PlayStation. Most of all, he loved spending time with his daughter, Charlotte. He also loved his dog, Smokey, who was a faithful companion to him. Nathaniel was the rock of his family and loved them deeply, but he also cared about strangers on the street and would lend a helping hand whenever he could. 

Nathaniel is survived by his mother, Sheryl Fairbanks; his father, Samuel GreyEagle; his siblings, Patrick Buckanaga, David Fairbanks, Donny Beaulieu and Emily Fairbanks, and his daughters, Charlotte and Caillie. 

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Emily Fairbanks and Flo GreyEagle; his uncle, David Fairbanks, and several other relatives.

A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
