Nelda Jane Kinnaman

Nelda Jane Kinnaman, 79, of Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully at home under care of Hospice of the Red River Valley on Thursday, January 23, 2020.

Nelda Jane Markham was born January 16, 1941 in Oklahoma to Duane and Margaret (Hill) Markham.  She moved to California where she met and married Rueben Kinnaman and they had four children together. Rueben passed away in 1995.   Over the years Jane was employed at D and B Rosenblatts and Medallion Kitchens in Fergus Falls, MN.  She also worked as a paralegal/secretary in Alaska and Belgium.  She retired in 2013 after 20 years of employment at John Deere/Phoenix International.

Jane loved bowling, playing Bingo and going to casinos. Her true love was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which were most important to her.  Jane was an amazing and strong woman who lived an entire lifetime and accomplished so much during the last 20 years of her life.  She will be deeply missed by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Debra (Ron) Melcher, Moorhead, MN, Michael (Tamara) Kinnaman, Moorhead and Johnny (Susanna) Kinnaman, Colorado Springs, CO; her twin brother, Jerry (Chris) Markham, Burnett, TX; her sister, Sherry Hefner, Burnett, TX; 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rueben; her son, Steven Kinnaman and his son, Joshua Kinnaman.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at 4:00 P.M., with visitation from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M., at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
