Nina V. Hajek

Nina V. Hajek, age 89, of Hawley, MN, died Friday, November 9, 2007, in her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.Nina Viola Christensen was born on February 2, 1918 to Ole and Caroline Jensen Christensen on the family farm in Keen Township. She grew up and attended school in a one room schoolhouse in Cromwell Township. On June 23, 1946 she married Jerry L. Hajek in Hawley, MN, together they had two children. Nina enjoyed sewing and gardening. She will be missed dearly by her children.She is survived by one son, Donald Hajek of Hawley, MN; one daughter, Betty Hajek of Hawley, MN; one brother, Alfred Christensen of Hawley, MN; and one sister, Lillie Johnson of Hawley, MN.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jerry Hajek and four brothers, Albert, Henry, Rainhart and Albin Christensen.
