Nona E. Jordahl, 80, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN.Nona E. Killinger was born on April 28, 1926 in South St. Paul, MN to Charles and Hazel Shepard Killinger. She grew up and attended school in South St. Paul. At the age of 24, she was working alongside her mother Hazel, making Corey coffee pots in St. Paul. This is where she met her future husband, Jerome Jordahl, who worked for North Central Publishing Company located in the same building. On June 9th, 1951 she married Jerome Jordahl at the First Presbyterian Church South St. Paul, MN. Together they had three children. Jerome worked as a linotype operator in the International Typographical Union. This made it possible for Nona and Jerome to travel from state to state. In 1955 the settled in Velva, ND, where they published two local newspapers, the Velva Journal and the Granville Herald. In 1970 they moved to Lake Park to operate the family grocery store. Jerome died July 13, 1991. In August of 2005, Nona moved into Eventide Lutheran Home, where she has resided since. Nona enjoyed many Eventide activities including, cards, games of any type, hymn sings, the Eventide Choir, as well as her position as the Eventide "Hall Monitor." She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.She is survived by three daughters, Cheryl Erlien of Puyallup, WA, Lorna Ron Horpedahl of Fargo, ND, and Linda Muhlenkort of Fargo, ND; one brother, Wilbur Bonnie Killinger of Tahoma, WI; three sisters, Glenna Speth of White Bear Lake, MN, Marciel Lew Buss of Lester Prairie, MN and Irene Bruce Horstman of St. Paul Park, MN; nine grandchildren, Douglas Wendy, Christopher Shondra, Tamara, Heath, Brandon, Amanda, Jeffrey Jody, Timothy and Amy Chris; and five great-grandchildren, Courtney, Nicholas, Darren, Rebecca and Emma.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
