Nora A. Wigdahl, 89, of Ulen, MN, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, in Viking Manor Nursing Home, Ulen, MN. Nora was born in Lostwood, ND, on August 4, 1926, to Oscar and Pauline Sarinski Myers. Her mother died when Nora was 3 and went to live with her aunt and uncle, Jenny and Andrew Hoff in Ashby, MN. Her father later remarried and she went back to live in Lostwood for 5 years, before her father passed. She then went back to Ashby to live with the Hoffs.
Nora worked at Nelson Café in Fergus Falls, MN, and married William Wigdahl on September 10, 1944. Together they made their home and farmed near Rothsay, MN, for 13 years. Nora was active in Ladies Aid at Park Lutheran Church near Hawley, MN, and worked at Motel 6 and Bethany Towers in Fargo.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patty Neubauer; her parents; and brothers, Harry Mary Myers, Winfred Myers and Walter Myers.
Nora is survived by her husband of 71 years, William; son, Richard of Fargo; daughters, Pauline Elliot Johnson of West Fargo, ND, Marilyn Ron Tanfield of Pinellas Park, FL; 8 grandchildren, Brenda Dever, Brian and Derek Johnson, Cory and Travis Wigdahl, Sarah and Andy Tanfield, Brent Neubauer; 6 great-grandchildren, Josie and Charlie Dever, Asher and Bodie Johnson, and Addison and Liam Neubauer.
Visitation: Friday, July 1, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., with prayer service at 6 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.
Funeral: Saturday, July 2, at 11:00 a.m., in Rollag Lutheran Church, Rollag, MN.
Interment: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
