Nora J. Tweten

Nora J. Tweten, 88 of Breckenridge, MN passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at St. Francis Home, Breckenridge, MN.

Nora was born in Fargo, ND on August 12, 1934, to John and Nora (Johnson) Munson. She grew up near Osage, MN and attended country school through the 8^th grade.

Nora married Donald J. Tweten on December 17, 1950. They raised their family and settled in Ulen, MN. Nora later spent time working as a grocery store clerk, but enjoyed Bingo, bowling, and playing cards with friends in her free time. She was a great cook and wonderful baker. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Nora is survived by her children, Linda Olson, Dale (Lisa) Tweten, Jay Tweten, and Joy (Tom) Gerner; 12 grandchildren, Jered, Gabriel, Jaclyn, Abigail, Kari, Samantha, Meghan, Nathaniel, Brandon, Joseph, Savannah, and Stephanie; 21 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Virginia Robinson and Eunice Heinonen and sisters-in-law, Marie Tweten, and Jean Tweten.

She was preceded in death by, her parents; husband; brothers, Danver (Margaret) Munson, Gerald Munson, Carold (Ardis) Munson, Chester (Bess) Munson, and Hoover Munson; sisters, Rosella (Curley) Leech, Norma “Tootsie” (Armos) Koski; son-in-law, Dan Olson; brothers-in-law, Rob Robinson, Howard Heinonen, George (Mary) Tweten, Roy Tweten and Russel Tweten.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 1-3 PM followed by a memorial service at 3 PM at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

Final resting place will be in Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
