Norma Elaine Hilde

Norma Elaine Hilde, 84, Moorhead, MN, died on Thursday, November 11, 2021, in Sanford Health, Fargo.
Norma was born on July 20th, 1937, near Ulen, MN, to Nile and Olga (Orwald) Bjerke. She was baptized and confirmed at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She graduated from Ulen High School in 1956. On December 29, 1956, she married Waldo Hilde after his discharge from the Army. They made their home in Hood River, OR for three years and then moved to Moorhead. They were blessed with five children. Norma worked at JC Penney Catalog in Fargo while raising her children. She was an avid bowler and acquired several trophies. Norma enjoyed her cabin on Big Cormorant Lake and made wonderful memories there.
Norma is survived by her husband of 64 years, Waldo; five children, Warren (Beth) Hilde, Jeff (Barb) Hilde, Nancy (David) Bahe, all of Moorhead, Janelle (Todd) Donaldson, OshKosh, WI, and Jodi (Brian) Olson, Hillsboro, ND; ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; siblings Alvina Newman, Carol Ellingson, Debbie Pollock, all of Moorhead and Wayne Bjerke, Thief River Falls, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings, Orpha, Clarice, Eileen, Duane and infant Diane.
Visitation: Wednesday, November 17th, 2021, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Funeral: Thursday, November 18th, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Interment: Moorhead Memorial Gardens
