So, they set out, and as they sailed, he fell asleep. And a storm of wind came down to the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in danger. And they went and woke him saying, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" And he awoke and rebuked the wind, and the raging waves, and there was a calm. — "Who then is this, that he commands even wind and water, and they obey him?"Grace and Peace to you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ: Amen!Norman Hanson, was an optimist,He walked calmly in life's race. There were times of joy, and times or struggle, But always he walked in grace! He loved his country, and his family, And would give of himself with a smile,"A piece of cake", would be his words, When he went through a time of trial!Always a farmer, right to the end, He asked God to help things grow,Be it wheat or beans, lawn or kids, He nurtured every row! When his lungs began to fail, And he needed oxygen to survive,Norman just smiled, and made light, Happy to be alive!A profound faith of Jesus, his Savior, Surely, was his anchor, in life,And, he was blessed with the partner God gave him: Loving Regina, his wife! But as the storm clouds gathered, And he was tossed all about in life's sea.Our Lord, again calmed the wind and the waters, Saying, "Norman, step across the lake, over to Me!"Norman went Home! Thanks be to God! iLoren R.
