Ola "Doc" Wang was born March 20, 1924 at Soldier, Iowa, to Peter and Ragna Baker Wang. He lived in Soldier, Iowa until moving to Kingsley, Iowa in 1934, where he graduated from high school. Ola moved with his parents to Glyndon, Minnesota in 1946. Ola married Adeline Fuchs on July 18, 1947 at Moorhead, Minnesota. Following their marriage they lived at various places until moving to rural Hawley in 1951. He was a member of Lysne Lutheran Church, and also a former member of the Odd Fellows. He enjoyed football, basketball, track and softball, fishing, hunting, gardening, farming, and spending time with his family, especially all his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Ellen Rarick, and one infant brother, Robert. He is survived by his wife, Adeline Wang, Hawley, MN; five sons, Gary Marie Wang, Hawley, MN, Lyle Julie Wang, Hawley, MN, Roger Kathy Wang, Hawley, MN, Kenneth Joan Wang, Hawley, MN, and Russell Wang, Ulen, MN; one daughter, Marlys Robert Christiansen, Menahga, MN; four brothers, Melvin Nina Wang, Greenbush, MN, Richard Mavis Wang, Glyndon, MN, Peter Marlys Wang, Jr., Devils Lake, ND, and Ronald Doreen Wang, Glyndon; two sisters, Evonne Don Carlson, Dodge Center, MN, and Marlene Mikkelsen, Fargo, ND; twenty-one grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
