Olive I. Sivertson, age 93, of Felton, MN, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011 in Golden Living Center, Moorhead, MN.Olive Irona Kroshus was born on December 31, 1917 to Oscar and Inga Jacobson Kroshus in Perley, MN. She grew up and attended school in a one-room country school in rural Perley. On September 24, 1937 Olive married Sverre Sivertson in Perley. Together they lived in Perley and Felton. Sverre died on April 15, 1990. Olive worked for Olson's Menswear in Ada while Sverre served in the Army during World War II. Later she worked for Erickson Store in Perley and then R & G Bootery, Fargo for 23 years. Olive moved to Moorhead in 2001.Olive enjoyed keeping an immaculate house, baking, embroidery and sewing. She was an avid Twins and Redhawks fan and always enjoyed a good hotdog. Olive was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Felton and Kirkebo Lutheran Church in Perley. She was also a member of the Ada VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by one daughter, LeeAnn Ronald Guttormson of Borup, MN; one sister, Evelyn Gilbertson of Ada, MN; two sisters-in-law, Irene Ingham, Santa Barbara, CA and Margie Kroshus, Fargo, ND; son-in-law, Duane Durr of Fargo, ND; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sverre; daughter, Margaret Durr; three brothers, Robert, Marvel and Allan Kroshus; two sisters, Dorothy Strand, Vivian Roesch; great-granddaughter, Krista and great-grandson, Noah.Blessed be the memory of Olive. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
