Ordell C. Grant

Ordell Charles Grant: 9/21/1945-3/14/2017

Ordell Charles Grant was born September 21, 1945 in Fargo, ND to Oliver & Clara Ekre Grant of Kindred, ND. He attended school in Kindred graduating in 1963. He attended UND in Grand Forks, ND & graduated from MSUM, Moorhead, MN with a BS in Coaching & Physical Education. He married Luan Schuman 11/22/1969 on his parents 25th wedding anniversary. Together they had two daughters, Kirstin and Amanda. They later divorced. He owned FM Insulation, Fargo. He married Rebecca St Marie and they later divorced.

After surviving a brain aneurysm in March of 2001 he retired to Little Cormorant Lake at Audubon, MN and with the help of his girls spent many happy years. He died peacefully at Valley Care & Rehab Barnesville, MN where he had lived for the past 5 years.

He is survived by daughters Kirstin and Amanda Grant, Fargo, ND, brother Paul Grant, Post Falls, Idaho, and his former wife and friend, Luan Schuman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Clara Grant, beloved grandparents Peder& Carrie Ekre, sister-in-law Delphi Grant, and his best friend Daisy.

Visitation 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life and prayer service at 1 p.m., Monday, March 20, at Wright Funeral Home Moorhead, Minn.
