Oscar E. ’Jr’ Bjordahl

Oscar "Jr." Bjordahl, 70, of Lake Park, MN, passed away April 17, 2012, in his home, surrounded by family and friends, after a year long courageous battle with cancer. Oscar was born January 24, 1942, to Oscar, Sr. and Josephine Boit Bjordahl. He graduated from high school in Dilworth, MN. In August of 1961, he married Rose Wyland of Moorhead, MN. Oscar worked for Fairmont Foods, Bell Telephone, and retired from Northern Improvement of Fargo, ND. Spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and hiking was his passion. His hobbies included woodworking, classic cars, swap meets, rock hounding, stained glass and creating beautiful pieces of art. Oscar was also very creative, making many different pieces of art for his family and friends. He loved camping and traveling to their winter home in Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents. Oscar is survived by his wife of fifty years, Rose; three children, Lisa Calvin Stoffel of Enderlin, ND, Teresa Tony Lamb of Prescott Valley, AZ, and Troy Renée Bjordahl of Leonard, ND; four grandchildren, Amy, Dylan, Dane and Haley; one great-grandson, Easton; and his siblings, Jerome Janet Bjordahl, Ken Donna Bjordahl, Mike Teresa Bjordahl, and Susan Jerry Ylonen Bjordahl. The family wishes to thank Hospice for their heartfelt care. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Hospice of the Red River Valley.
