On December 4th, Oscar Jenson took the hand of Jesus and joined loved ones in heaven. He passed away at Palliative Care with his loving wife and family at his bedside.Oscar was born November 5th, 1923, in Lake Park, Minnesota to Harold and Olga Jenson. He attended school in Audubon. He entered the Army in 1947, serving in Japan.He met the love of his life, Fran Werner, marrying on December 23rd, 1950. Seven children were born to them, three daughters and four sons. They did everything together, gardening, hunting, fishing, cutting wood, and making maple syrup. His children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his pride and joy. He became an operating engineer, retiring in 1987. He was blest to be able to travel to Norway to visit the homeland of his father.Oscar and Fran were charter members of Maranatha Church in Glyndon, having lived in Glyndon for 47 years before moving to Moorhead. Oscar is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years and six loving children. Nancy Rich Trenery, Cindy Mark Flaten, Rod Laura Jenson, Bob Lisa Jenson, JoAnn Jay Taylor, Randy DeWonna Jenson, thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, son Ross, two brothers and one sister.
