Patricia A. Schons

Patricia A. Schons, 83, of Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2014, in Eventide Senior Living, Moorhead, MN.

Patricia Anne Knudson was born on October 9, 1930, in Fargo, ND, to Millard and Teresa Gorman Knudson. Pat grew up in the Fargo area and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1948. On May 12, 1949, she married Larry Schons in Fargo, ND. Together they had seven children. Pat enjoyed raising her children and attending their activities and sporting events. She loved sewing for her family and making crafts.
After the children were grown, Pat and Larry traveled all over North America. They especially liked visiting family and Glacier Park. They spent their winters in Texas and Arizona. Patricia was a woman of faith, and a very active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and Cursillo. Most of all, Pat loved spending time with her family.

Pat is survived by her husband of 65 years, Larry, Moorhead, MN; children, Kathy Ollestad, Gonvick, MN, Tom Karen Schons, Moorhead, MN, Jack Terry Schons, Phoenix, AZ, David Kathy Schons, Maple Grove, MN, Diane Dalton, Fargo, ND, and Sue Baumgartner, Madison Heights, VA; brother, George Knudson, Mansfield, TX; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Tim, and siblings, Harold, Mary, Robert, Donald and John.

Visitation: Friday, October 10, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral: Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.

Interment: St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
