Patricia Ann Arvidson

Patricia Ann (Crandall) Arvidson, 70, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, in Eventide Nursing Home, Moorhead, MN.

Patricia was born on May 13, 1949, in Park Rapids, MN, to Cecil and Carrie (Peterson) Crandall. She grew up in Osage on the family farm where her love for animals began. She attended high school in Park Rapids, MN, where she graduated in 1967. She attended Tech School in Alexandria, MN, briefly after high school. Between 1967 and 1980, Patricia worked for various places in the area between Detroit Lakes and Minneapolis/St. Paul. She met Richard Arvidson and they were united in marriage on April 16, 1977, in Akeley, MN. They moved to Moorhead in the early 1980’s where they made their home. She worked at K-Mart as a department manager until the early 2000’s when she retired.

Patricia was a special person to many and was an involved and loving mother and never missed one of her son’s sporting events. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, the outdoors, animals, going to the casino, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Patricia loved kids and helping people. She was involved in the adopt a grandparent program and was a work mentor for the disabled.

Patricia is survived by her son, Erik (Amber) Arvidson; grandchildren, Carter and Casen Arvidson; honorary grandchildren, Anna, Jacob, and Caleb; and many other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard; parents, Cecil and Carrie; and brother, Allen.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020, at 11:00 A.M., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date in the spring.
