Patricia “Patty” Neuharth

Patricia (Patty) Neuharth passed on June 22, 2022.  Guided by her faith and the enduring love for her family, she lived a life fulfilled. She is now undoubtedly comforted being reunited for eternity with her love Gary in the presence of their savior.

Patty was born in Los Angeles, California on May 31, 1944 to JB and Lucy Schultz. She grew up in Mitchell, South Dakota along with her sister Vicki and brother Jim.

On February 27, 1965 she married Gary Neuharth.  They would be married for 41 years. Together they built a fortunate life. They raised their children Steven, Christine, and Timothy acting as models of faith, work ethic, sacrifice and an uncompromising devotion to family.

Patty’s life touched so many.  She valued her church community at St. Joseph’s and this community of believers was so very important in her life. Also, her work at Shanley High School and Holy Spirit Elementary School allowed her to create an extended family.  She always felt so much care and concern for the students, parents, staff, and teachers.  The community of these schools allowed Patty to further model her faith, humility and love of others.

Patty’s truest love was for her ten grandchildren. The overwhelming pride she possessed for them was evident in all she did.  To Patty, Treyton, Tia, Thomas, Callan, Owen, Brendan, Gillian, Aidan, Ellen, and Corinne are her cherished legacy and the greatest gift she could give this world.

Patty is preceded in death by her husband Gary and her parents JB and Lucy Schultz. She is survived by her sister Vicki (Lonnie) and brother Jim (Ann); her children Steven (Renee), Christine, and Timothy (Michelle); and, her grandchildren Treyton, Tia, Thomas, Callan, Owen, Brendan, Gillian, Aidan, Ellen, and Corinne.

We as a family also wish to thank all of Patty’s friends who gave so much of their love and care for her. She knew how blessed she was to have you all.

Services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moorhead on Thursday, June 30^th, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. and the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 A.M.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Joseph’s Church or Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center.
