Patricia “Patty” Otto

Patricia “Patty” Otto (Anderson), 66, of Devils Lake, ND, passed away on July 5, 2020, in Mohave Valley, AZ. Patty was born in Moorhead, MN, on August 8, 1953 to Clayton and Gladys (Chambers) Anderson. She grew up in Hawley, MN, where she attended and graduated from high school. Following high school, Patty continued her education in cosmetology and worked as a hairdresser for several years. She also worked at the Norseman Restaurant in Hawley. Patty later went back to school and received her degree in social work from Moorhead State University. She then worked as a social worker at Friendship in Grafton, ND. On July 17, 1993, Patty married Robert Otto in Hawley. Together they made their home in Grafton until moving to Devils Lake, ND, in 2010. She enjoyed wintering in Mohave Valley, AZ, and spending the summers in Devils Lake. She also enjoyed handwork and embroidery, attending craft shows, reading and traveling. She will be dearly missed.

Patty is survived by her husband, Robert; sisters, Kathy (Earl) Holland, Betty (Jerry) Fogel; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Shepard.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 6, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

Interment will follow at Hawley Cemetery.
