Patrick J. “Jake” Hecker

Patrick Jacob “Jake” Hecker, 58, of Felton, MN, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Patrick J. Hecker was born October 6, 1963, in Breckenridge, MN, to Patrick and Marilyn (Hegel) Hecker. He grew up in Moorhead, MN, where he graduated from high school in 1982. Following high school, Jake continued his education at Moorhead Technical College. He married Rebecca Nelson on June 16, 1990, in Moorhead and raised their two boys in rural Felton. He began his career at Reardon’s Office Equipment (now Loffler Companies) and over the years really enjoyed helping clients as a Service Technician. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially at the lake, and loved his many dogs through the years. Jake was proud of his accomplishments as an Eagle Scoutand his many home improvement projects he started (but didn’t always finish) for Becky. Most of all, he was proud of his boys. He loved his family deeply, and always had a kind heart and helping hand, which he instilled in his boys. He will be greatly missed.

Jake is survived by his wife, Becky; sons, Devin (Erika) Hecker, and Brandon Hecker; father, Patrick Hecker; brothers, Doug Hecker, Mike (Lorae) Hecker, Brad (Tammy) Hecker, mother and step-father-in-law Marlys and Ed; as well as in-laws, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Julie Eve Hecker and father-in-law, Clifford Nelson.

Visitation will be Friday, May 27, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
