Patrick J. Trottier

Patrick “Pat” J. Trottier, 75, of West Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, in Essential Health, Fargo, ND.

Patrick James Trottier was born on September 6, 1939, in Belcourt, ND, to James and Mary Agnes Wilkie Trottier. The family moved to Grand Forks, ND, where Pat grew up and attended school. Pat worked for Fargo Tank & Steel Co. until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and watching TV in his spare time.

Pat is survived by his companion and best friend of 42 years, Emily Clemenson Olson; two daughters, Janell Claude Christianson and Kristina Machado; five sisters, Mable Cook, Esther Kirkwood, Martha Trottier, Annabelle Vetch and Elaine LaFontaine; four brothers, Clarence Trottier, Russell Trottier, John Shirley Trottier and Ernest Maureen Trottier; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by Emily’s children, Rodney Gail Olson, Renae Joe Kraft and Randy Lisa Olson, her ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Sylvester Trottier and Emily’s daughter, Becky Olson-Splettstaszer.

Visitation: Friday, April 17, 2015, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, 605 2nd Ave. S., Moorhead, MN. Visitation will continue one hour before the service on Saturday.

Funeral: Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Andrew Lutheran Church, West Fargo, ND.

Internment: Brink Cemetery, Horace, ND.
