Paul Anthony Brown

Paul Anthony Brown, 57, of Moorhead, MN, died July 19, 2022.

Paul was born January 21, 1965, in Moorhead, MN, to Dennis and Theresa (Treichel) Brown.  He grew up and attended school in Barnesville, MN and then resided in Moorhead the rest of his life.  In earlier years Paul was self-employed and had his own landscaping and cleaning businesses.  He loved being outdoors and fishing with his brother, Mark, and he looked forward to the times spent hanging out with family on Mark and Stacey’s farm. He loved Matchbox cars and concerts.  He was a true rock-n-roll fan and especially loved Guns N’ Roses.  Many great memories were made with his siblings when they saw Guns N’ Roses for the first time in 1991 and then 30 years later in the summer of 2021.

Throughout his life, Paul was an independent soul who insisted he could do everything himself and said pretty much whatever he wanted to say.  He had an immense love for his family and enjoyed all the times they shared together.  Paul was especially close to his mom, and he missed her deeply after she lost her battle with cancer in 2020.

Paul was preceded in death by both his parents and his sister, Tina Brown.  He is survived by his son, Cody Buchanan, Fargo, ND; brother, Mark Brown (Stacey Sik), Maynard, MN; sister, Frankie (Tommy) Tweeton, Perham, MN; niece, Abby Tweeton and nephews, Reier Tweeton and Andrew Dolak.

Paul’s family would like to extend a special thank-you to Kenny and B.J., his caregivers at the CCRI house in Moorhead where he lived for the past 5 years.  With his fierce independence, Paul would have preferred to live on his own, but since he was unable to do that, the family is forever grateful that he had wonderful caregivers in his life.

A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022, from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M., at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.
