Paul J. Olson

Paul Jerome was born on April 29, 1923 to John and Emma Lindstrom Olson in Lake Park, MN. Paul grew-up in Lake Park, MN where he graduated from Lake Park High School. After graduation he served in the Army 78th Signal Corp Inf. in Europe. He returned to Lake Park where he farmed. Paul married Lyla Seydel on June 30, 1951 in Eksjo Lutheran Church, Lake Park, MN. Together they had four children. Paul continued to farm while working at the sugar beet plant and drilling wells. He owned and operated Olson Well Drilling from 1959-2009. Paul was an overall handyman who loved tinkering, traveling and fishing. Most of all, he was devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife, Lyla; one son, Terry Vicki Olson, Mandan, ND; three daughters Jean Olson, Lake Park, MN, Joan Scardino, Pittsford, NY and LaDon Curtis Haugen, Audubon, MN; grandchildren, Curtis Jr. Alyssa Haugen, Lance Kelly Haugen, Nicholas and Michael Olson; step-grandchildren, Cole, Rory and Chloe Benz; and three great-grandchildren, Callan, Aivyn and MaKenna. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother John "Buddy", sister, Agnes "Tootsie", and baby brother, Vernon.
