Paul L. Dickelman, 58, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Saturday, March 5, at his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Paul LeRoy Dickelman was born on October 17, 1957, to Ardell and Mary Markegard Dickelman in Moorhead, MN. As a child he enjoyed camping and fishing with his dad and brother. He graduated from Moorhead High School in 1975.
After graduating, Paul worked for a time at Sun Valley, a sunflower processing plant, before going on to work as a forklift operator at what is now known as WestRock where he worked until recently retiring. He also owned his own bird toy store as he had a love for exotic birds.
In his free time he loved to travel, most of all to anyplace with a beach. He and his wife Julie Tibbetts got married on August 7, 2004 in Jamaica. He also enjoyed going to the casino, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Paul is survived by his wife, Julie, step-sons; Lucas and Nick, step-daughter, Alexus, brother, Wayne, sister, Deb Ron Siegel, nieces; Layne, Lindsey and Lesley, great-nephews; Brayden and Carson, and great-niece, Brianna.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley for the care they provided.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM Friday, March 11, in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN, with a visitation one hour before.
