Pearl Nyquist, 93, Moorhead, MN, died on Friday, May 25, 2007 in Elim Nursing Home, Fargo, ND.Pearl Annetta Weidmann was born to Mary and Alfred Weidmann on May 4, 1914 in Kansas City, Kansas. She attended school there and graduated from Wyandotte High School. In 1931 she married Walter Nyquist in Lawrence Kansas. They moved to Moorhead in 1932. She volunteered at Dakota Hospital for 25 years. She was a charter member of the auxiliary and served a term as President. She was also a long-time member of the Fine Arts Club in Fargo. Pearl loved to travel whether it be by land, air, or sea. She visited all seven continents, over 110 countries and both the North and South Poles. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982, four brothers, three sisters and one great-grandchild. She is survived by her son, Robert JoAnn, Moorhead; grandson Mark Deirdre, Fargo, great-grandchildren Morgan, Nicholas, Nicole and Jake, Fargo; granddaughter Mary, West Fargo, great-grandchildren, Michael and Katie Braaten, West Fargo; and her special friend, James Landblom.
