Pearl was born July 17, 1913, near Ulen, MN, to Herman and Mary Leonhardt Kline. She grew up on the family farm, attending school in Ulen and at the age of 15 graduated from Ulen High School. Following high school she worked at the Fairmont Creamery. On June 20, 1938, she married Rex Lathrop. Together they had two children, Jerry and Cindy. Pearl later worked as a banquet server at the FM Hotel and the Biltmore Motel. She was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead and active with Boy Scouts and Campfire Girls. She enjoyed watching the Vikings and doing crossword puzzles, but most of all loved spending time with family at their cottage on Pelican Lake where they summered for over 60 years. She will be dearly missed.Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Rex; brother, Edward Kline; and sisters, Mildred Hogfoss and Violet Oien.She is survived by son, Jerry Lathrop; daughter, Cindy Perry; grandchildren, Randy Lathrop, Brad Lathrop, Susan Chandler, Rachel Perry and Samuel Perry; great-grandchildren, Cierra, Colton and Chloe Lathrop, Melissa and Wayne Chandler; brother, Orvis Kline; sisters, Delores Phillip and Darlene Brugma; and many nieces and nephews.
