Pete Martinez, Jr.

Pete Martinez, Jr., 48, of Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. Pete was born May 20, 1964, in Brownsville, TX, to Pedro and Antonia Florez Martinez. He grew up, attended school and graduated from high school in Carrizo Springs, TX. In 1987, he moved to Moorhead. For several years he worked at RDO in Fargo. Pete enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, going to dances, cooking and grilling outdoors. He also enjoyed the camping trips with friends and the chance to get away. He was always willing to lend a hand and loved helping others. Pete was a great son, brother, father and friend. He will be dearly missed.

Pete is survived by his children, Pete Martinez, III., Tony Martinez, Brandon Martinez, JC Martinez, Alicia Felen; step-children, Louis and Stephanie; mother, Antonia Martinez; sisters, Gloria Garcia, Hermalinda Montez, Petra Hernandez; nieces and nephews, Monica, Ricardo, Jr., April, Vincent, Gracie, Gustavo, Hilario, Sara, Samuel, Roxanne, Gina, Christopher; and great-nieces and nephews, Karsten, Louis, Gerardo, Vincent, Jr., Neveah, Casandra, Alisandra, Jose and Andreas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Martinez, Sr.

Visitation: Friday, April 19, 2013, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral: Friday, April 19, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.

Interment: St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
