Philip R. Baumgartner, 70, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020, at the VA Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
Philip was born in Edgeley, ND, on December 24, 1949, to Alfred and Ann (Schweitzer) Baumgartner. He grew up and attended school in Lamoure, ND. After high school, Philip served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Belgium. He specialized in communications while working with NATO. Following his service in the Army, Philip began his career driving truck. Over the years, he worked with various companies, but most recently with Berg Grain and Produce until retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and riding motorcycle.
Philip is survived by his siblings, Theresa Huber of Fargo, ND, Daniel of Las Vegas, NV, Bob of Moorhead, MN, Mike (Tammy) of Dilworth, MN, Sheri Hanson of Dilworth, MN, Mary Ann (Brian) Langager of Farwell, MN, Frank of Hawley, MN, Janette Baumgartner of Fargo, ND, Allen (Suzette Solheim) of Owatonna, MN, Linda (Bob) Gundersen of Excelsior, MN, Diane (Scott) Engen of Fargo, ND, Mark of Erhard, MN, and Pam (Wes) Fletcher of Brooklyn Park, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a baby sister, brother-in-law, John Hanson, and niece Brenda Huber Krueger.
