Phyllis Anderson

Phyllis Anderson, 90, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2020, at Farmstead Care in Moorhead. Phyllis was born February 10, 1930, to Bent and Myrtle (Johnson) Sunde. Phyllis grew up on the family farm near Felton, MN. The family later moved in to Moorhead where Phyllis graduated from high school. In 1949, Phyllis married Bud Anderson. Together they made their home in Moorhead and started a family. She cherished the time at home raising their son, Scott and daughter, Jane. Over the years, Phyllis enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow and loved attending their many activities and sporting events. She also looked forward to the summers with her Big Sand Lake family. She will be dearly missed.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Jane (Kevin) Stein of Moorhead; grandchildren, Matthew, Elizabeth “Lizzy” and Kate Stein; sister, Mavis (Will) Fischer; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Anderson; son, Scott Anderson; grandsons, Ben and Michael Stein; brother, Vernon Sunde; sister, Ethel Lybeck; and special friend Earl Tweden.

A visitation will be held Monday, July 13, from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead.

Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
